W Barcelona Hotel by Ricardo Bofill.

The W Barcelona Hotel, also popularly known as the Sail Hotel for its iconic silhouette, is one of the most emblematic buildings along Barcelona’s coastline. Located directly on the Mediterranean Sea at the western end of Sant Sebastià Beach, at the start of the Barceloneta promenade in the Ciutat Vella district, it enjoys a privileged location with direct access to one of the city’s oldest and most traditional beaches.

Designed by the renowned Catalan architect Ricardo Bofill, who passed away in 2022, the 26-story, 99-meter-tall building has become a landmark in Barcelona’s maritime skyline. Its structure allows most rooms, suites, and public spaces to enjoy panoramic views of both the sea and the city. Together with the Torre Glòries and Hotel Arts, the Sail Hotel shapes the contemporary architectural landscape and was awarded the 2010 Prix Villégiature for Best Hotel Exterior Architecture in Europe.

The hotel offers luxury rooms and suites, exclusive access to Sant Sebastià Beach, the WET Deck infinity pool, solarium, spa, 24-hour gym, multiple bars and restaurants, and the unique W Sound Suite, a private music studio, the only one of its kind in Europe. As a complement to the building, Bofill designed the Rosa de los Vientos Plaza adjacent to the hotel, featuring the sculpture “The Four Bars of the Catalan Senyera”. Composed of four six-meter orthogonal columns with a helical twist, the artwork pays tribute to the Catalan flag while adding dynamism and symbolism to the architectural and urban environment.

My name is Olga. I was born in the city of Barcelona in 1977. Since 2016, together with my son and a small team of passionate professionals, we have been offering bespoke tourism services in Barcelona. We are pioneers in creating fully personalized private travel experiences in Catalonia, conceived through the perspective of those who know the territory in an intimate and authentic way.

We design unique journeys that integrate carefully selected accommodations, private gastronomic experiences as well as reservations in an exclusive selection of the finest local restaurants and spaces, and specialized guiding services in history, art, architecture, ornithology, and botany. Each proposal is complemented by exclusive getaways designed for those seeking something truly exceptional.

We accompany our guests as they discover the most authentic essence of Barcelona, the Costa Brava, and the Catalan Pyrenees, unveiling hidden corners, inspiring landscapes, and places rich in history and beauty—accessible only through a deep knowledge of the land.

My way of creating and designing our experiences is also rooted in a personal sensitivity deeply connected to culture, nature, and knowledge.

I consider myself a healthy, grounded, and creative person, passionate about reading, architecture, design, decoration, art, and botany, as well as disciplines such as sociology, anthropology, philosophy, and depth psychology—especially Jungian analytical psychology.

Spirituality forms part of our daily life as a conscious practice, and music holds an essential place in our lives, particularly instrumental music, with a special predilection for jazz and classical music.

The piano, my favorite instrument, connects me to my formative childhood years at Virtèlia Schools in Barcelona—an experience that shaped my sensitivity and the way I perceive the world.
